History

The human fist is the oldest weapon in existence. Long before our ancestors shaped stone or sharpened wood, bare-knuckle combat decided disputes over territory, mates, and resources. Archaeological evidence of healed fractures on ancient skulls confirms that interpersonal violence predates every other tool of war. The closed fist, with the thumb bracing the fingers, is a biomechanical adaptation unique among primates — our hands evolved not just to grip tools, but to deliver blows.
